SuperVCage™ has adapted the same advantages of the Gypum and Fiberboard SuperCage™ for the Veneer Dryer! This "Rabbit Ear" design comes with a drop-down bearing retainer that allows for bearing replacement without removal of any drive components mounted to the gudgeon shaft! This gives the users of SuperVCage™ the advantage of lowering maintenance costs and increasing dryer uptime!
Other significant advantages of the SuperVCage™ include:
- A 60 second bearing replacement versus the typical 10 to 20 minutes it takes using the current "industry standard" rabbit ear style cage.
- No need to disrupt other drive components, mounted on the gudgeon shaft to make a bearing replacement. Gudgeons remain in "as new" conditions.
- Dryer rolls run smoother when bearings are in better condition throughout the dryer.
- SuperVCage™ supports the half bearing (180°) style bearings that provide a greater cost-benefit (value). Why pay for an entire bearing (360°) when you only use the bottom half?
- SuperVCage™ is designed to replace current industry standard cages with simple to no special dryer modifications. Installing SuperVCage™ is easy!
With SuperVCage™ you simply unbolt and drop the bearing retainer to replace a bearing!
